Rachel Alexander
Using the traditional genre of portraiture I try to expose the myth that beauty is being young, thin, botoxed and perfect, as the media would have us believe. I look for beauty in wrinkles, scars and life worn on the face revealing pain and sadness and character traits such as kindness and directness.
I also make books on symbolism. Each book is a gift to a friend and compiled from many different sources including my travels and experiences. They are intended to be useful, interesting and beautiful.
